Order my new CD!For years, Jos Jansen has been running with the idea of creating a play-along book for trombonists. Jos was often asked for sheet music of the wonderful works he played in his solo programs and recorded on his CDs.

Trombonists can now then play songs such as Wiegelied for Famke, The Rose and We Celebrate Life by themselves. In addition to sheet music, the book includes links to wonderful orchestral accompaniments and a version of each work where Jos himself plays along.

All the events of the past period make you realize more and more that you have to enjoy each day. Cherish your loved ones and all the beautiful moments. Always keep those you had to say goodbye to in your thoughts and celebrate life. During the Corona period, I composed this piece and recorded Coronaproof in the Studio. As a musician, I want to try to give energy and make beautiful things, despite the tough time we’ve had and what is about to come our way.

About Jos Jansen
Jos Jansen began his conservatory studies when he was 21. In 1989 he graduated as a teaching musician (Zwolle) and in 1991 as a performing musician (Hilversum). While still a student, he was hired as a bass trombonist with the Marine Band of the Royal Navy, where he retired in mid-2014.
The premiere of Typical JJ, with the Koninklijke Harmonie Pieter Aafjes conducted by Heinz Friesen was the beginning of Jos Jansen’s solo career. Peter Kleine Schaars wrote this work covering classical and light music especially for Jos. Since that time, Jos has performed as a soloist with amateur and professional orchestras at home and abroad. He also released several CD s on which he can be heard as a soloist.
Jos Jansen plays exclusively on Willson Trombones.

Bass trombonist Jos Jansen is a versatile phenomenon on bass trombone. He feels at home in any genre. From classical to jazz, from tender lullaby to Egerländer revelry. On his bass trombone, he plays sweet-voiced sounds as easily as a splashing brass band. Sometimes serious and the next moment funny and snarky.

Making music makes Jos Jansen very happy. Not only can he express his own feelings in it, he loves it when he can convey emotion to his audience with his music. Jos therefore enjoys passing on his musicality to others.
In cooperation with Willson, Jos Jansen regularly organizes clinics, workshops & master classes for advanced trombonists. This includes attention to the function of the trombone within brass bands, wind bands and brass bands, the specific repertoire for the trombone, breathing, embouchure, technique, sound, modern techniques, etc.
